Commodore 64 Games & Demos

I began coding way back in 1985 on the Commodore 64. I used a Melbourne House
book on machine language, an Expert Cartridge and Tony Crowther's 3-in-1 editor.
Here are some of the games in D64 format, compatible with most C64 emulators

Computersville

There's an awful lot of weird nonsense in this game about Nomals and Plexic. It takes some figuring out but it's one of my favourites. There are five locations:

  • Location 1 : Check your Plexic supply, don't let this run out.
  • Location 2 : Collect the cross to restore your health.
  • Location 3 : Collect Plexic coins, something like ten coins for one lump.
  • Location 4 : Check how close the Nomals are getting and battle them if too close.
  • Location 5 : I have absolutely no idea. Somebody, please let me know

Radiation steadily increases but resets whenever you change locations. There's an exit hole that kills you unless you have met some conditions which I can't quite remember.

Outbreak

Outbreak is an early version of Arklight, there's only twenty years between the two. Use your bat to guide the glowing ball to the top of the level. Sounds easy enough, except the top of the level is some way off.

Use the fire button to increase your bat's speed, and move the bat in the direction you want to deflect the ball. Avoid the various creatures, except the 'E' tiles which give you an extra ball
