Puppy Sanctuary has been released on the App Store!
It's a universal app so you can play it on all your iOS devices for a single price, just $0.99 at launch! It's also free to try out, as all our games are.
If you enjoy the game please use the single 'Full Version' IAP to unlock all the puppies, levels, items & locations ... Thank you
Darkside was released a couple of weeks ago and so far it's doing well, receiving lots of nice reviews & feedback

Check out the game's reviews and find an App Store link on Darkside's main iOS page:
Also, John at MoDoJo was kind enough to do an interview about the game's development, here's the link:
I wanted to see if a Shoot'em'up would do better than a Match 3 game on the App Store. Strangely, both games were pretty much identical in terms of income, despite being so different. They even had different payment models, with Darkside having a single 'unlock' IAP, instead of separate Paid/Lite editions. More experimentation is required ... so ... Puppy Sanctuary's next and has just been submitted to Apple

Hi, I'm just wondering about the three free games that is mentioned on the trial version of one of your games. It says "Every purchase includes three free games, 500 credits and a no quibble guarantee!". So, I just wanted to know exactly what the 'three free games' entails?
George...
Hi Pyrena. After purchasing any Clockwork Pixels game, please login to your account page where you will find three additional 'free' keys for my earlier games (
Word Juice,
Gridlines and
Odd Box).
There's a link to the account page at the top of each page and your login details will be emailed along with your purchased game information.
The free games are quite small really, but hopefully some fun can still be had from them

Thanks, I purchased Kitten Sanctuary

Exciting days ... Kitten Sanctuary will be released for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch next week!
As an experiment, it'll be released at it's lowest possible price ($0.99). There's even a Lite edition to try out for free (featuring the first sanctuary location & 10 kittens). It is a bit worrying though ... there are so many apps released every day, will anyone actually play it!?
Yay, I just added an icon that shows up on iPads & iPhones when you bookmark the site to your Home Screen! Oh the wonders of modern technology

Also just fixed a weird bug causing horizontal lines to appear along all the page sections on Safari. I accidentally fixed it by making my page graphic 1 pixel high ... go figure!
Hello, in a couple of weeks time Kitten Sanctuary will be available to buy on the App Store

I had fun porting the game over, there's something very satisfying about getting a game written for one machine working on another. I've been really impressed with just how powerful these little devices are!
There's also going to be a 'Lite' version which you'll be able to play for free. This version contains the first sanctuary location and 10 cute kittens to rescue ... But I really think you should buy the full version

Well, this will be my first app ... I hope someone will find it as there's a silly amount of apps released on the store every day. Eeek!
Despite the lack of blog entries I've been really busy porting over lots of the games to Mac as well as developing a new PC game (more news on that next month).
The Mac games are actually a happy side effect of my attempts to get some of the games onto the iPad & iPhone. You can tell which games are available for the Mac by the little OS icons in the summary panels. Anyway, things are going well and my first app, Kitten Sanctuary, will be available from the App Store next week

Puppy Sanctuary has been just been released ...
Puppy Sanctuary Details
It's a couple of weeks late, the sanctuary section took longer than expected. Although similar in design to that found in Kitten Sanctuary, it has actually been written from scratch to allow for more interaction between puppies.
Thanks for everyone who left feedback, as always it was most welcome and a lot of your suggestions have made it into the final version of the game

Here's what's been added since the beta version:
- 10 new puppies to rescue.
- You can now rename your puppies.
- A new ruined city sanctuary location.
- Seven new purchasable items.
- Brand new alien-battling game mode.
- 30 new levels (80 in total).
- Trophies screen.
- Additional music track.
- Brightness option.
There are several smaller improvements and tweaks too.
I hope you enjoy this release build of Puppy Sanctuary!

The beta is great fun thus far. I love how it's split up into several different minigames, a nice improvement from Kitten Sanctuary.
The switchable icons during the regular rescue-the-puppy battles are awfully bright and saturated, though, almost neon! I think I preferred the more muted Kitten Sanctuary icons.
Still, it's a great game and I'm having a lot of fun. Thanks again! :3

Hi, thanks for posting! It's early days for the forum/blog so every comment really brightens up my day!

Glad you like the beta so far. I'm currently adding lots more content (10 pups, 10 rescue levels, 2 HO levels, 3 bonus levels). I'm also going to add another 15 levels using a new mini game, and there's a bunch of sanctuary items/events to do.
So yeah, it may be another couple of weeks, but the release version is on it's way!
You're not the first person to comment on the over-brightness of some of the elements. I think the problem is that I tend to have my brightness turned down, as I stare at a screen all day. I'll do some 'bright mode' testing and tone things down a bit, and may add an option to remove screen flashes and the like.

Wow, I'm really pleased to get such a nice developer response.

My husband has been playing Puppy Sanctuary, too, and he LOVES it. He just came off Jewel Quest V (Sleepless Star) and likes Puppy Sanctuary much, much better (the variety of gameplay, the sweet sense of humor in the puppy descriptions, etc).
Clockwork Pixels makes some of the absolute best casual games on the market -- polished, well-made, and always charming. Keep up the good work!

I'm very excited for the full release.
George...
Hi, thanks for your reply ... and for purchasing the game! I always enjoy the positive comments, they certainly help with motivation. Although, people will really start to think I'm writing all this myself!

Wendy...
I guess I could come up with some negative comments if you really really want me to, but it would be hard work!

And for anyone out there wondering about me, I am in fact a real person completely unaffiliated with Clockwork Pixels, I promise!
Puppy Sanctuary is in beta at the moment, there are a few things that I want to add in before the release build, but it should still be pretty solid, no spelling mistakes, broken levels and the like
